Budapestkick, I’m hoping to have a few talks around the country, maybe UK as well. I just need to sit down and plan them, but yeah, definitely discussion meetings if I can.
Picked up a copy last week, just finished the Housing section, when its all put down in such a narrative it beggars belief that we even got this far.
While none of it was new to most of us I think we often forget parts as we inevitably concentrate on whats current or recent past. Looking forward to getting through the rest of it.
Somehow don’t thing you’ll get on the Late Late with it, the truth and RTE are complete opposite.
If ever ye get invited on it Conor, stitch him a loaf for me too please : )
All the best for the launch - will most likely be somewhere between Agen and Toulouse, unfortunately.
Many congratulations on the book Conor. Just finished it. Very well-structured, informative and, I would say, accessible. A welcome shift away from the populist bullshit that has polluted the media in recent years. Let’s hope that it draws some serious attention to the deeply-rooted structural problems of Irish society and, equally, towards the alternative remedies put forward by Taft, Burke, O’Connor etc.
Bought a copy in Connolly Books yesterday and started reading it on the train home.
Up to let the cat in and have a cup of tea and finish the book. A very good and welcome book.
Bought the book, (less than one hour ago). But, before (Trying!) to read it; your analogy of the cattle is spot-on. And us, the people, are propagandised that ‘awh shur, all your children will be beautiful geniuses and be Given long-term mortgages and, so, secure credit and… definite Tenure’. doh! And, doe-eyed, we all believe it.
But, re. C.Haughey, I reckon he did know very well that he/we are Fredo - but he was involved in a political game with the extant elites.
Looking forward to it. I do hope they’ll have a few copies of the book in to sell!
I picked it up the other day. I’m flabergasted at the detail. Fair play, tis a very good book.
Will there be other launches or discussions in the coming months?
Thanks Alan. Appreciate it.

Cool Conor. Congratulations on this. I’ll be there. Though a little late perhaps.
Cheers Colm.

Best of luck with the sales.
Thanks Ghandi. Yeah, it’s not really a late late book
“it’s not really a late late book”
Oh, I don’t know. “Blogger gets approached by publisher to turn his insights into a book” is in chat-show territory.
Actually, that’s true.

Well done Conor
Interview has made me very curious. Especially after the wire references! Will definitely be picking up a copy.
Please do come over to limerick to discuss.
