   6 of us went all standing tickets and the crowd werent infromed about why there was a delay by MCD and he didnt acknoledge the wait. His lecture during the jungle made the crowd boo more. I dont agree with people throwing anything on stage and MCD suggesting it was anything other than beer is a complete joke. 2 of my mates who came dont have jobs and that was a huge amount of money for them for nothing. We all travelled from Belfast, Clare and Cavan overnighted it in a hotel in Dublin and were told to go home by security, no refund, what a Joke. It is my sincerest wish that MCD get whats coming to them for treating it customers so poorly. Please someone start a well organised boycot!!!!!!

   MCD may not be MCD quite soon - persistent rumours that Denis is about to sell out to Live Nation - if he hasn’t already done so. Live Nation owned by Clear Channel who own more than 40% of US radio and who own Ticketmaster who sell most of the tickets to events run by the company they own and then charge you a commission. Capitalism’s great though, its all about the competition.

   I worked on GnR in Slane in ‘93 - the day before they arrived we were all briefed not to look at his Axl-ness for the duration. At Slane there is a small stream immediately behind the stage, and two small bridges connect the stage area to the backstage compound, production offices and catering. Usually, a one way system operates: on this occasion, the band insisted that one bridge be for their exclusive use…….

   Proper order - I’ve heard that dozens of international stars, ranging from the late Michael Jackson to Twink lived/live in fear of the ‘Son of Stan Death Stare’
