C86: THE SONGS
Dec 9th, 2007 by Conor McCabe

Following on from WBS’s post on Cedarlounge about The Pastels, there are links below to the NME’s legendary C86 tape. For information about C86, here’s the link to the Wikipedia entry.
The songs are available from www.indie-mp3.co.uk. It has a good page on the legacy of C86, while the tape itself is available to download, in two parts. The links to the tape on indie-mp3.co.uk are to Rapidshare, which is not the most user-friendly site, but, it’s free. Side one is available here, while side two is available here. Side one includes Stump’s fantastic “Buffalo”.
Also, this seems as good a time as any to post a Wedding Present video. Here’s “Give My Love To Kevin.”
Enjoy.

The Soup Dragons were brilliant back then. If they’d only broken up after their first album …
Have to admit I never got Stump though.
